James B. Calnan, CPA

Jim is the partner in charge of the Health Care Services Division of Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. Jim is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Business Administration and has more than 30 years experience in providing accounting and management advisory services to physicians practices, dental practices and other health care organizations. He consults with medical and dental practices in various areas of compliance and practice management services.

Jim has served as an organizational speaker and has published articles on various topics relating to the business aspects of health care practices. Jim has extensive experience performing medical and dental practice valuations and mergers. He also assists practitioners with managed care contracts, practice start-up, employment contracts, buy-in and buy-out contracts, compensation agreements, practice revenue enhancement, overhead analysis, procedural costing and financial management. In addition, he has represented physicians in practice buy-out negotiations with hospitals and other integrated delivery systems.

Jim is a member of the Massachusetts and Connecticut Societies of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Medical Group Management Association, Massachusetts and Connecticut Chapters of the Medical Group Management Association, Massachusetts Medical Society's Qualified Network of Attorneys and Consultants, National CPA Health Care Advisors Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Jim is also a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Lisa A. Patenaude, CPA

Lisa is a senior manager in the Health Care Services Division of Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. She manages most of our health care accounting and tax engagements. Lisa has been providing specialized services to health care clients for more than 15 years. A graduate of Western New England College, she was certified by the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy in 1994. Lisa works closely with our physician clients regarding practice valuations, mergers and practice start-ups, compensation analysis, revenue enhancement, procedural costing and comparative fee analysis, physician billing systems, and accounts receivable and insurance reimbursements. Her experience includes the performance of various compilation, review and audit procedures as well as the preparation and review of financial statements, and the preparation and review of various federal and state filing requirements.

Lisa is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Medical Group Management Association.

Robert J. Grady, CPA

Robert is a senior manager in the Health Care Services Division of Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. A graduate of the University of South Dakota, he has more than 20 years experience in private and public accounting. He has consulted on accounting, tax and management issues for health care practices as well as for the manufacturing, wholesale, retail, real estate development, construction and advertising industries.

Robert is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

James T. Krupienski, CPA, MSA

Jim is a manager in the Health Care Services Division of Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. He is a graduate of Stonehill College and has more than five years experience in public accounting. Jim's professional history includes providing accounting and tax services to health care practices as well as the construction, wholesale and personal service industries. He also has worked extensively with investment companies and retirement plans, in addition to a wide array of individual retirement plans.

Jim is a member of the Massachusetts and Connecticut Societies of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts.

Bryan P. Fortier

Bryan is an associate in the Health Care Services Division of Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. He is a graduate of Champlain College. The newest member of our team, Bryan is responsible for preparing financial statements, corporate tax returns and individual tax returns and assists in our management advisory engagements. Bryan is actively involved in the Big Brother and Upward Bound Programs.
