What do you see as the future of the firm?

Howard Cheney:

We are really focused on maintaining our independence as a firm and business here in Western Mass.

We are really focused on making what will be a successful 4th generation of ownership. So you figure Joe Kalicka and Ben Meyers (1st), David Kalicka and Stu Meyers (2nd), Myself and partners (3rd), we are really focused on the next one.

Rudy D'Agostino:

We are always trying to stay on the cutting edge whether it be information technology, out serviced services, or cyber-security. We bring that forward for value-added benefit for our clients. We’d like to remain independent. It’s a tough fight to stay independent but it’s worth it because it benefits the clients. We make the decisions here, the philosophy the client comes first – we can keep that. We all have to follow the same regulations, but we like to make sure we are doing that responsibly and really know our clients.

Developing the next generation of leaders because I’d like the firm to last another 75 years.

Kristina Houghton:

We definitely want to stay independent. In the industry, there have been a lot of mergers. A lot of private equity is trying to buy firms btu we have worked very hard to be independent. And we want to give that opportunity to our rising stars.

James Krupienski:

The future of MBK is positive as we look to the next generation of leadership coming up. Seeing where the firm was and where it is now – some of the growing pains we’ve gone through – we have a really strong group of people. Our partners are working with the next generation of leaders. Getting them to partner is what is exciting to me right now.

Kristi Reale:

The next generation to grow. I’d like to see our clients continue to grow and thrive in the region. We also want to continue to embraces technology – with AI and everything else in the world right now is exciting. Therefore – it helps because some of the mundane accounting tasks can be automated with AI and that frees us up to do what we love which is consulting and advising our clients to that they can grow and become even better in the future.

David Kalicka:

Stay independent and remain successful.
