We have a deep sense of pride in our work culture – we work hard and are committed to our clients’ success. However we also recognize the importance of having a fun and fulfilling environment to work in – our events committee has been crushing it!
Our events committee can be found overseeing a number of very special events including:
The Tax Season Party and Friars Club Roast
Tax Season can be challenging – to let off a little steam, we celebrate the funniest moments of tax season in a relaxed and social setting.
Kids Holiday Parties
At MBK, family is a priority…
Halloween Trick or Treat – ‘MBK kids’ come in costume and trick or treat throughout the office, enjoy crafts and special snacks.
Christmas/Santa – We are fortunate that Santa visits MBK every year and our ‘MBK kids’ get a special visit with him. A perennial favorite!
Employee Appreciation Dinner – From live bands to mystery murder dinners, casino nights to family picnics – sometimes we just need to have fun. Employees and their guests get to enjoy a night of good food, fun and entertainment.
Dress Down Days for Charity – As part of our ongoing effort to impact the community, we hold a Blue Jeans Friday every other week to raise money for local charitable organizations.
Wellness Program – Our wellness program is team-centered and accessible to everyone.
Firm Holiday Party – This is a way for us to celebrate the holidays as a team and reflect on the accomplishments of the past year – and have fun while we’re doing it!
Tax Season Relief – Chair Massages, Wii Sports! Social ‘down-time’ all help our staff stay energized during our busiest season.
Chili Contest – Feast upon the best chili this side of 91! The operations team whips up some serious grub for accountants during tax season and the best cook earns bragging rights (and a trophy).
A Place to Learn and Grow
Through our mentor program, our employees are given the opportunity for one-on-one development and advice. Training and education are foundational, but a true career requires the complete development of the professional. Beyond technical expertise, your mentor will serve as a resource for you as you grow your career.
The Western Massachusetts Community
Western Massachusetts is a great place to live. Here you can find a vibrant night life, an abundance of entertainment options and world-class education on your doorstep. You can also find great golf, hiking, skiing, boating and a plethora of other outdoor activities – all within a close proximity to home.
The BusinessWest Difference Maker’s Program is just one of many community programs in the greater Pioneer Valley that we are proud to be a part of.
Some things that our staff members like to do include catching a show at the Calvin Theater, Rock climbing at Central Rock Gym, going for drinks at the Student Prince, getting a bite to eat at the Eastside Grill, playing a round of golf at Crumpin Fox or attending a play at City Stage.
