Kristi A.Reale and Chelsea Cox honored as MSCPA’s Women to Watch

The MSCPA, in partnership with the AICPA’s Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, recently announced seven recipients of the 2020 Women to Watch Awards. MBK is proud to have a winner in each category for 2020, Kristi Reale and Chelsea Cox!

Originally created by the AICPA, the awards recognize outstanding women in the accounting profession and are given in two categories: Emerging Leaders (fewer than 15 years in the profession) and Experienced Leaders (15 or more years in the profession).

Criteria to be nominated and selected as a winner included:

  • Mentoring of other professionals;
  • Leadership or involvement in workplace initiatives and improvements;
  • Overall contributions to the profession and workplace;
  • Public or community service; and/or
  • Involvement with their alma mater or other colleges and universities.

Kristi Reale, CPA, CVA at MBK

Kristi Reale, CPA, CVA, Experienced Leader

Kristi Reale, CPA, CVA is a partner at Meyers Brother Kalicka, P.C. and has made an impact on several businesses by providing exceptional services for a wide range of industries, including business valuation, management advisory, family and independent business, accounting, assurance and taxation. She was published in  BusinessWest  and  HealthCare News  and has served as a speaker for the Western Mass SCORE Annual Women’s Roundtable, Western New England Renal Transplant, Western Mass Bar Association and several other programs. Heavily involved in her community, Reale also serves as a current treasurer and Executive Committee member of the Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts, a corporate team leader and event volunteer for both the Springfield Boys and Girls Club and the American Heart Association Heart Walk among many others. In addition, she serves as a role model and mentor to a number of young women at the firm.

Chelsea Cox, MSA, Emerging Leader

Chelsea Cox, MSA is a senior associate at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. and has worked diligently to develop competencies in all areas of the firm’s audit and accounting practice, including commercial audits, employee benefit plan audits and nonprofit entity engagements. Additionally, she is the champion and spearhead for the firm’s community service program, which offers firm-wide monthly community service opportunities for professionals. Cox also serves as a mentor to junior staff at the firm and as a mentor in partnership with Westfield State University. Furthermore, she serves as a firm ambassador at the MSCPA and is a member of the MSCPA’s Accounting & Auditing Committee, Women in Accounting Committee and the Young Professionals Advisory Group.

Congratulations to both Kristi and Chelsea for being recognized as leaders in the industry. MBK is proud of your accomplishments and the trails you continue to blaze.
